Install & first launch
1. Download the build
Sign in at license.zyper.app with Discord and click
Download desktop. You’ll get zyper-aio.exe — a single portable Windows binary.
The download is gated by your Discord login. There is no public download URL.
2. Put it in its own folder
Create a folder like C:\Zyper\ and drop the .exe there.
3. (Recommended) Add a Defender exclusion
Windows Defender sometimes flags unsigned developer binaries on first run. You can either:
- Click More info → Run anyway on the SmartScreen prompt, or
- Run the helper bat (only present in dev builds):
setup-defender-exclusion.bat.
For a permanent fix, add the folder itself as an exclusion in Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions.
4. Launch
Double-click zyper-aio.exe. A dark, frameless window opens with a sidebar
on the left. You’ll land on a License Activation screen — that’s expected.
If nothing happens when you double-click, it’s almost always one of:
- Defender silently quarantined the binary. Check Protection history.
- The folder is on a network drive or OneDrive sync path with file-locking
issues. Move it to a plain local folder like
C:\Zyper\. - An earlier instance is already running. Zyper enforces single-instance via a Win32 named mutex — a second launch silently exits.
Next: Activate your license.
